Sutherland lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Glory Naughtin, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals. Fallyn Elfeldt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Paxton pushed their record up to 14-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Sutherland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Paxton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sutherland, they will head out on the road to square off against Morrill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sutherland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Thursday.
