2A District 7 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Highlands Christian was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in 2A District 7. The Knights beat Master's Academy 34-24 earlier in the week.
Glades Day took down Coral Springs Christian 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Highlands Christian's Trystan Lago and Kyle Audet have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lago has thrown for 858 yards this season, while Audet, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 16 catches for 353 yards. The Gators' Kelvin Taylor leads the league in rushing yards with 884.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Glades Day takes on Village Academy. Pete Walker's team is in first place, while Village Academy is in fourth place.
The Gators led 2A District 7 in scoring this week after putting up 69 points on the Crusaders.
