The Beulah Bobcats won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They took a serious blow against Beauregard, falling 56-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beulah has scored all season.
Leading Beauregard to victory were Kam Torbert and Lay Clark. Torbert scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Clark scored 18 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalise Culbertson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Beulah's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Beauregard, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beulah will face off against the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Billingsley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday. As for Beauregard, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
