The Crooms Academy Panthers won the last time they faced the Warner Christian Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Thursday too. Crooms Academy strolled past Warner Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 66-47.
Crooms Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Aristile out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Parker, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Warner Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christian Nicholas, who scored 14 points along with two blocks. Nicholas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Ashton Flores was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Crooms Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Warner Christian Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Crooms Academy and First Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (First Academy is ranked 693rd, while Crooms Academy is ranked 676th). As for Warner Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Christ's Church Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday.
