Bacon Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by New London on the road and fell 94-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bacon Academy in their matchups with New London: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Lyman Memorial pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 79-55 loss at the hands of Windham.
Bacon Academy bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lyman Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Bacon Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Lyman Memorial in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 51-48. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lyman Memorial's Jaiden Lopez, who scored 19 points.
