They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 71-5 victory over Madison Highland Prep. Phoenix Country Day is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 13 straight.
Phoenix Country Day was led to victory by Olivia Owens and Aila Kaibara. Owens almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, while Kaibara scored 20 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Kaibara has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Madison Gordon was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Phoenix Country Day pushed their record up to 21-3 with that win, which was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.4 points. As for Madison Highland Prep, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
