The Coshocton Redskins waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Crooksville 68-54. Given Coshocton's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Ceramics are ranked 687th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colton Conkle was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten assists. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Logan Lonsberry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Coshocton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Crooksville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coshocton will take on the Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Muskingum focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Crooksville, they will be playing at home against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
