After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Barrington, Cranston East was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Classical Purple 19-3. The win continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their matchups with the Purple: they've now won six in a row.
Lexi Montalban was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk).
