Everything went Mark Morris' way against Evergreen as Mark Morris made off with a 14-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Plainsmen: they've now won three in a row.

Shyanne Sellers made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Mikaila Warfield was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Megan Fugleberg was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mark Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgefield). They walked away with a 13-10 victory over Camas on Tuesday. With that win, the Spudders brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Ridgefield let Tava Whitlow and Charlie Harris run wild. Whitlow scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5, while Harris scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Whitlow also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Bowling, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Mark Morris' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ridgefield, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Ridgefield's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Mark Morris has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ridgefield, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Mark Morris keep running through batters, or will Ridgefield buck the trend?
