It was a good run, but Niles West unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Niles North Vikings. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Niles West was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Niles West's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 20-11. As for Niles North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-15 record this season.

Niles West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Vernon Hills on the 16th. As for Niles North, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Highland Park on the 16th.
