The Walkertown Wolfpack waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Thomasville with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. Given Walkertown's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Thomasville is ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jaden Tyson was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Wilkerson, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Walkertown's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Thomasville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Walkertown will head out on the road to square off against West Stokes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomasville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Salisbury at 7:30 p.m. Salisbury has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,405 points over their last 18 contests.
