Wadley won the last time they faced Winterboro and things went their way on Thursday too. Wadley was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Winterboro. Considering Wadley has won six games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Callan Hutchinson and Mason Wilkerson did most of the damage at the plate: Hutchinson scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Wilkerson scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Hutchinson is becoming a predictor of Wadley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-2 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Ty Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wadley has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Winterboro, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, Wadley will square off against Fayetteville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winterboro, they will take on Victory Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
