Splendora lost to Liberty 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jay Bradford was a bright spot for the Wildcats, as he ran for 114 yards in the loss.
Tarkington made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,956 from 12,240. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 21-0 victory over the Longhorns last week.
Splendora's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ty Nixon has thrown for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while Lane Bennett has 4 catches for 73 yards.
One of 3A Region III District 22's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Splendora and Cleveland face off next week.
At the moment, the Indians are in third, while Brad Milam's team is in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when Cleveland and the Wildcats face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Clayton Maple's team comes in having scored 90 this season, while Splendora has scored 67. The Indians scored 21 points last week as they topped Tarkington.
