Oasis Christian was the victim of a tough 52-30 defeat at the hands of Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. Oasis Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Oasis Christian saw an underclassman step up: Karsyn Roberts scored 15 points. Roberts scored a full 50% of Oasis Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Beka Ayers was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stephanie Morales, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Morales has scored at least 25% of Ridgeview Global Studies Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Claire Curry , who scored 14 points.
Oasis Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Oasis Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Hardee at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Hardee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday. As for Ridgeview Global Studies Academy, they will be playing at home against Fort Meade at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
