Even though the Kent County Trojans scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, the Pocomoke Warriors still came out on top. Pocomoke came out on top in a nail-biter against Kent County and snuck past 64-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pocomoke.
Donyae Washington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 23 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 17 games she's played. Maddie Esham was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Pocomoke's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Kent County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Pocomoke will head out on the road to face off against Bennett at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pocomoke is facing Bennett at the right time seeing as Bennett is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Kent County, they will be playing at home against Kent Island at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
