Harvard Ellis Tech is 1-9 against Cheney RVT since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Harvard Ellis Tech Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cheney RVT Beavers at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Harvard Ellis Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Cheney RVT is ranked 35th).
Last Friday, Harvard Ellis Tech took a serious blow against Norwich RVT, falling 76-45.
Meanwhile, Cheney RVT came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Glastonbury with a 49-45 victory.
It was another big night for Dam'nic Gittens, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Roose Orbe, who scored seven points.
Harvard Ellis Tech bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cheney RVT, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Harvard Ellis Tech took a serious blow against Cheney RVT in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 99-46. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harvard Ellis Tech was down 50-22.
