Columbia can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Towers 67-5 at home. Given Columbia's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Towers is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aalon Turner and Nia Anderson were among the main playmakers for Columbia as the former scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals and the latter scored 24 points along with six steals. Turner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Kerserlin Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven steals and six assists.
Even though McNair has not done well against Elite Scholars Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. McNair strolled past Elite Scholars Academy with points to spare, taking the game 49-34.
Columbia is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for McNair, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
