Model was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Danville on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Admirals. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Admirals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Kendall Maggard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She also put up four hits, which were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Kayln Renfro was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Piper Moore was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Model was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Model now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Danville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Model will host Robertson County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Black Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.57 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Danville, they will head out on the road to take on Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
