After losing to the Springfield Township Spartans the last time they met, the Jenkintown Drakes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Jenkintown was the clear victor by a 69-49 margin over Springfield Township.
Jenkintown was led to victory by Kareem Jackson and Tommy Walsh. Jackson went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 2 assists, while Walsh dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Walsh has scored at least 25% of Jenkintown's points. Another player making a difference was Matty Ecker, who scored 5 points.
The victory got Jenkintown back to even at 1-1. As for Springfield Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Jenkintown is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bristol at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Springfield Township, they will stay at home for another game and welcome William Tennent at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
