Mountain View suffered their biggest loss since December 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 71-45 walloping at the hands of Gabrielino. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Mountain View has suffered against Gabrielino since April 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, El Monte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 43-27 to Rosemead. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for El Monte in their matchups with Rosemead: they've now lost four in a row.
Mountain View has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for El Monte, they dropped their record down to 2-24 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Mountain View lost to El Monte on the road by a decisive 59-42 margin in their previous matchup on January 8th. Can Mountain View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
