Leesville Road's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molly Zuburg, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight assists and three steals. Zuburg is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reaghan Mueller, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 20 points and three steals.
Jordan found their leader in sophomore Caroline Masella, who posted 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Masella has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Yancey, who put up 16 points.
Leesville Road's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Jordan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Leesville Road will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wake Forest at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Jordan will take on Broughton in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
