The La Quinta Blackhawks were the 64-47 winner over the Yucca Valley Trojans when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. La Quinta was dealt a 65-38 loss at the hands of Yucca Valley on Saturday. La Quinta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Jadon Pierce, who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals for Yucca Valley. That makes it two consecutive games in which Pierce has scored at least 25% of Yucca Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Myles Harper, who scored 8 points along with 9 assists.
La Quinta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Yucca Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
La Quinta will be playing at home against Citrus Hill at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Citrus Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. Yucca Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Indio at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
