Softball Recap: Chesapeake Has No Trouble Against Meade

Chesapeake got themselves on the board against Meade on Thursday, but Meade never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Chesapeake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Meade, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake will host Queen Anne's County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Meade, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glen Burnie at 4:45 p.m. on the 22nd.
