Fairfax is a perfect 6-0 against Washington since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Stampede will welcome the Rams at 3:45 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Fairfax barely beat North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stampede's pitcher stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 12-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Stampede might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 12 runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kaycee Noderer, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Reilley Bledsoe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Washington made easy work of Copper Canyon on Wednesday and carried off a 21-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
Camille Harp was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Salazar, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with eight stolen bases and three runs.
Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .914. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Fairfax's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairfax hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .400. However, it's not like Washington struggles in that department as they've averaged .358. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fairfax got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Washington by a conclusive 28-4 score. Do the Stampede have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
