The third road match was the charm for the Rayville Hornets, as they earned their first road win of the season. They breezed by Reeves on the road to the tune of 81-44.
Reeves lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carter Guillory, who scored 16 points. The contest was Guillory's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Cavenah, who scored 22 points.
Rayville's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Reeves, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Rayville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Reeves won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Benjamin Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. Benjamin Franklin has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20.
