Philip Simmons' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Germany Moore led the charge by scoring nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Buceti, who scored nine points.
Hanahan's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Philip Simmons, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanahan will square off against Beaufort at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Beaufort focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday. As for Philip Simmons, they will head out on the road to take on Battery Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Battery Creek: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Philip Simmons has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
