Elkhart's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Frankie Willis, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Willis has scored all season. Trinton Harris was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Elkhart's loss was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for South Bend St. Joseph, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Elkhart won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for South Bend St. Joseph, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Prairie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully New Prairie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Wednesday.
