Kennebunk scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Bonny Eagle, 14-7. At the time, the Scots were ranked 19th in the state, while the Rams were 34th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Windham, who took down 14th ranked Windham, 34-7.
Scarborough's Dillon Russo and Greg Viola have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A Southern Maine in both passing and receiving yards. Russo has thrown for 973 yards this season, while Viola, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 16 catches for 337 yards. Ken Sweet from Deering leads the league in rushing with 1071 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Eagles and Bonny Eagle. Windham enters the contest ranked 23rd in the state, while the Scots ranks 20th.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Rams take on Cheverus. Deering's offense has racked up 207 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Stags have allowed only 48 on the year.
Sanford was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping the Eagles. The Spartans came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
