Avalon won the last time they faced Clinton Grace Christian and Toran Ayana did his part to make sure it happened again. The Black Knights took down the Eagles 76-62 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Ayana, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

Jevon Hawkins was another key player, putting up 22 points. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least 18 points.

Avalon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Clinton Grace Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4.

Coming up, Avalon will face off against Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Black Knights will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Clinton Grace Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-51 victory against New Hope Academy National on the 9th.
