North is 1-9 against Hill-Murray since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The North Polars will head out on the road to challenge the Hill-Murray Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. North has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
Even though North has not done well against Two Rivers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North secured a 49-45 W over Two Rivers. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but North was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucy Walker, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maddy Anthony, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Hill-Murray posted their biggest victory since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Tartan 67-38 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Hill-Murray as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
North's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Hill-Murray, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
North came up short against Hill-Murray in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 60-49. Can North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
