The Piedmont Hills Pirates will face off against the Oak Grove Eagles at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Oak Grove took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Piedmont Hills, who comes in off a win.
Piedmont Hills gave up the first  points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They took down Pioneer 35-17. The  win almost wasn't to be: the Pirates were down  17-0 in the second  quarter.

 Alijah Torres had a dynamite game, rushing for 155 yards and three  touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Diego Arias was another key player, picking up 147 receiving yards.
 Piedmont Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Arias,  Alexavier Rivera,  and  Kyle Hughes picked up one apiece. Rivera got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Oak Grove's offense. They lost  20-0 to Overfelt on Friday.
 Piedmont Hills now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Oak Grove, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Piedmont Hills was able to grind out a solid  victory over Oak Grove in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023, winning  24-14. Will the Pirates repeat their success,  or do  the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
