The McKenzie Tigers lost against the Red Level Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. McKenzie fell 64-54 to Red Level. McKenzie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
McKenzie lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaylen Mcmillian, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Mcmillian scored a full 42.6% of McKenzie's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quay Jackson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
McKenzie has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Red Level, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKenzie has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Pleasant Home at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Pleasant Home is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Red Level, they will be playing at home against Shields at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shields is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
