Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clovis North). They blew past the Clovis Cougars 12-3 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Broncos needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Jocelynn Gonzalez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Zoey Thomas and Brynn Gentry did most of the damage at the plate: Thomas went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Gentry scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Gentry a new career-high. Riley Grealy was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
