Despite the defeat, Coastal Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chase Davenport posted nine points. Those nine points gave Davenport a new career-high.
Cape Fear Academy had a senior duo take command as Domas Undzenas went 6 of 12 en route to 20 points and six rebounds and Isaiah Gibson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Undzenas is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Coastal Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Cape Fear Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11.
Coastal Christian will square off against John Paul II Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cape Fear Academy, they will face off against Arendell Parrott Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
