Basketball Recap: St. John's Catholic Prep's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Concordia Prep, St. John's Catholic Prep was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They snuck past Varsity Opponent with a 47-43 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

St. John's Catholic Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Samantha Shively out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Shively is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Bolduc, who posted 12 points in addition to six assists and four steals.

St. John's Catholic Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-5.

St. John's Catholic Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-47 loss against NC GBB Academy on the 19th. As for Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-30 defeat against Mt. Zion Prep Academy on the 19th.
