Airline's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Taylor, who threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last six games he's played. Bob Patterson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards.
Airline's victory was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Parkway, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Airline will face off against Southwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Parkway, they will head out on the road to face off against Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Benton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 256 points over their last six matchups.
