The East Pennsboro Panthers pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-59 to Trinity. It was the first time this season that East Pennsboro let down their fans at home.
Owen Schlager continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Schlager has scored at least 25% of Trinity's points. Amir Evans was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
East Pennsboro's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Trinity, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
East Pennsboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Camp Hill at 1:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Trinity will finish 2023 at home by hosting Berks Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Berks Catholic will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
