The North Central Knights will head out on the road to face off against the York Prep Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Central is hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, North Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Central. North Central has not had much luck with Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, York Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They skirted past Cheraw 50-48. The win was just what York Prep needed coming off of a 55-17 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Payton Munsey, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. Another player making a difference was Gracie Robinson, who scored ten points.
North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for York Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
North Central was taken down by York Prep 61-17 in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for North Central, Ashleigh Robinson (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
