Ness City extended the longest winning streak in Central Prairie (8 Man) this week by beating Quinter, 48-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Eagles.
Central Plains was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Canton-Galva 56-12. The Oilers came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
Kole Urban and Kole Urban gave Otis-Bison a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Urban threw for 50 yards and one touchdown, while Urban ran for 160 yards. Teammate Dylan Wissman added to the ground attack by rushing for 150 yards.
Tucker VonLehe made the biggest impact on defense this week as Ness City topped the Bulldogs. The senior recorded one fumble.
Will Frusher was the best wideout in the league this week as Chris Bamberger's team defeated Quinter. Frusher tallied two receptions for 47 yards. Trevor Hawkins helped Ness City's passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
Kinsley's Nathan Frame and Gustavo Chavez have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Frame has thrown for 600 yards this season, while Chavez, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 14 catches for 318 yards. Wissman from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 882 yards.
The marquee game in Central Prairie (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Otis-Bison and Victoria. Travis Starr's team enters the contest ranked 12th in the state, while the Knights ranks 24th.
Macksville suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 64-50 loss to Macksville. The Mustangs had been ranked 16th, but fell to 27 following the defeat.
