Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda had a senior duo take command as Logan Gass dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds and Logan Hattendorf scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Gass' third in a row with at least ten points. Dustin Hakeneis was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5. As for Lakeview, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-3 record last season and are now at 2-4.
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda will be home for the holidays to greet Murray County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Murray County Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Lakeview and Minneota will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Minneota will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
