Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda had a senior duo take command as Logan Gass dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds and Logan Hattendorf scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Gass' third in a row with at least ten points. Dustin Hakeneis was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5. As for Lakeview, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-3 record last season and are now at 2-4.
