The Riverside Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Lincoln County with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. The victory was just what Riverside needed coming off of a 101-24 loss in their prior game.
Leading Riverside to victory were Ava Ward and Laila Campbell. Ward dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Campbell dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Riley Starsick was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Riverside's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Spring Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Riverside in West Virginia (Spring Valley is ranked eighth, while Riverside is ranked 71st). As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to take on Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
