The Oakdale Eagles lost against the Jellico Blue Devils back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Oakdale was beaten by Jellico 83-50. Oakdale has struggled against Jellico recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Jellico was led to victory by Carson Bolton and John Zecchini. Bolton dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists, while Zecchini scored 23 points. The contest was Bolton's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Vann, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Oakdale's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Jellico, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Oakdale and Concord Christian will round out the year against one another at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th at. Jellico will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Carter at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
