After three games on the road, Greene County is heading back home. They and the George County Rebels will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Greene County will be strutting in after a win while the Rebels will be coming in after a defeat.
After only 20 points in their last matchup, Greene County made sure to put some points up on the board against the Hornets on Tuesday. Greene County came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 55-44.
Meanwhile, George County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 57-40 to Picayune.
Greene County's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-14. As for George County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
Greene County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Rebels in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win. Will Greene County repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
