Second Baptist University-Model has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Brazosport Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Back in December of 2023, Second Baptist University-Model escaped with a win against Houston Adventist Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50.
Meanwhile, Brazosport Christian can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Baytown Christian as Brazosport Christian made off with a 70-48 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brazosport Christian has posted since December 4, 2023.
Brazosport Christian can attribute much of their success to Luke Coburn, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Elijah Burris, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Catoe, who scored six points along with seven assists and four steals.
Second Baptist University-Model now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brazosport Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Second Baptist University-Model suffered a grim 58-36 defeat to Brazosport Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Second Baptist University-Model, Rhyse Moellenbrink (who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time.
