Century entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Centurions have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Caden Crain was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Brandon Plott was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Jace Wright, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Century's victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Century will host Galatia/Thompsonville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bearcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Centurions' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-5 win against Coastal Mississippi Homeschool on the 17th.
