Notus has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Centennial Baptist Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Notus has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Notus can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Vision, posting a 55-24 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Notus has posted since November 27, 2023.
Notus relied on the efforts of Paige Emly, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six steals, and Allison Grandeen, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Grandeen has scored at least a third of Notus' points. Another player making a difference was Nayeli Vargas, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Centennial Baptist's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Gem State Academy by a score of 34-21.
Notus' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Centennial Baptist, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Notus against Centennial Baptist in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-12 win. With Notus ahead 31-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
