The Corinth Warriors are on the road again on Friday and play against the Holmes County Central Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Corinth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Holmes County Central is ranked 25th).
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Corinth, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Lafayette.
Meanwhile, Holmes County Central put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Canton as Holmes County Central made off with a 39-14 victory. Holmes County Central might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six contests by 25 points or more this season.
Holmes County Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jartavious Smart out in front who rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Charles Luckett got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Corinth has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Holmes County Central, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
