Belfry is 8-2 against Man since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Belfry will venture away from home to face off against Man at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Belfry got the win against Magoffin County by a conclusive 15-5. Considering the Pirates have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dante Davis and Zachary Fite made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Davis pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fite pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Davis scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Fite scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Davis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Belfry got a massive performance out of Steven Vipperman, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Vipperman launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Jones, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Man came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 6-1.
Belfry's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Man, their record now sits at 4-1.
Belfry came out on top in a nail-biter against Man when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belfry since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
