Overhills hasn't had much luck against Terry Sanford recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Jaguars are taking a road trip to take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Overhills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Overhills turned things around against Pine Forest on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Trojans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jordan Frink was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Houston Poole was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
Overhills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine Forest only posted a batting average of .154.
Meanwhile, Terry Sanford waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 10-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Terry Sanford pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Overhills, their record now sits at 13-9.
Everything went Overhills' way against Terry Sanford in their previous matchup back in March, as Overhills made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
