Horizon Science Academy pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Lawrence Upper. Horizon Science Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Lawrence Upper was led to victory by Dominic Bell and Jordan Jackson. Bell scored 17 points, while Jackson scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Carmichael, who scored nine points.
Horizon Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lawrence Upper, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Christian Community has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 249 points over their last four games. As for Lawrence Upper, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Varsity Opponent is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses.
